Aid: Cuba to send 200 more doctors to Pakistan

Cuban is to send a second medical team of 200 doctors to Pakistan to aid those affected by the recent earthquake.

Cuban President Fiedel Castro and President Gen Pervez Musharraf, held a half hour telephone conversation during which Castro told the Pakistani leader that "Cuba is with Pakistan in its time of need".

This assurance was made during a telephonic conversation between the two leaders on Saturday evening. Both the leaders talked for nearly half an hour.

The additional team of 200 doctors will bring the total number of doctors in Pakistan to 400, which many would say is a hell of a lot more than New South Wales has!
