Aviation: American Airlines seek code-sharing with Vietnam Airlines

Associated Press reports that American Airlines, is asking federal officials to let it and Vietnam Airlines sell seats on each other's flights beginning early next year.

Referred to as code-sharing, the agreement would allow Vietnam Airlines to put its two letter symbol on AA flights to Japan and Europe. Vietnam Airlines would then connect to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The deal would also involve the selling of seats on each others domestic flights
