Defense: Germany still allowed to use Uzbekistan base

Uzbekistan has confirmed that German troops can remain at its Termez military base even though several NATO countries have been banned from using Uzbekistan's territory or airspace for military operations in Afghanistan.

An unnamed government official said, "No notification has been sent to Germany. Its base in the south will no doubt remain". The German embassy in Uzbekistan also confirmed that the base is still used by the German troops.
