Goodnight from Sydney

That's me finished for the day. I would like to say I am off to watch a bit of television but I wont. The problem with television in Australia is that it is a complete farce.

It's bad enough having to see the same old over-the-hill, left over dregs from the golden age of mediocrity appearing all the time; we also have to contend with shows starting later than advertised, over-running or not appearing at all. As for promotion - take this example from the Entertainment Blog (Sydney Morning Herald).

The "season finale" of Cold Case is scheduled for Monday November 14 at 9:35pm.

The "season finale" for CSI is scheduled for Sunday November 20 at 8:30pm.

The "season finale'" of Without a Trace is scheduled for Wednesday November 23 at 9:30pm.

Pretty straight forward you would think. Oh no, not in this country - it's not that simple. If there is a right way to screw up television, Australia will find it.

All of the above are actualy the second last episode in the series. The "real" final show wont be shown until next year - even the two-part episodes.

I would tell you what happened with scheduling for The West Wing, but I would need a NASA computer to keep up with all the changes that have occurred in scheduling.

Till tomorrow...

...wherever you may be - be safe.
