Australian asbestos victims and workers are to picket James Hardie's profit announcement meeting demanding that the controversial company sign a final compensation deal.
After lengthy negotiations, last December, James Hardie agreed in principle to a $4.5 billion deal for victims of asbestos related diseases. According to a company spokesman, they are now working on the eleventh draft of the final package under which the company will set aside part of its cash flow for the next 40 years to pay victims.
