Industrial Relations: Unions picket Starbucks

Unions have picketed a Starbucks in Union Square to try force the coffee chain to recognize a citywide union of its workers.

About 20 of them interrupted passer by going about their own business, by chanting, using air horns and urging them to boycott the shop. One even dressed as a giant latte. Oh my! I am over-awed by such initiative.

The union wants Starbucks to guarantee 30-hour work weeks to its employees so they can get health benefits.
