Investment: Uganda needs to allow more access to land to encourage investment

Dr. Maggie Kigozi, of the Uganda Investment Authority, has said that investors need to be allowed access to more land. She described the current situation as a major "bottleneck" hindering investment as the land that was owned by the government had been taken up.

Apparently there have been situations where the authority had succeeded in buying land, but removing squatters had been an "uphill task".
