IP and Patents: Urine bag wins inventors prize

The Manila Times reports that winners at the recent National Invention Contest of the Department of Science and Technology, included the inventors of a "Urine Bag". The bag turns urine into gel as an alternative to bedpans and those bloody awful bottles that are impossible to use, especially when there are two nurses standing outside the curtain telling me to think of waterfalls. Sorry, I digress.

Other winners were a bed that turns a patient from his/her back to their side, and St Louis University, which presented a research on the potential of tiger grass stem extract in the production of biofuel.
