Mining: Eureka gold mine reopens in Zimbabwe

South African companies Mmakau Mining (Private) Limited and Shaft Sinkers, have reopened the Eureka Gold Mine in Guruve, Zimbabwe. The mine was closed in 2000 due to poor economic conditions.

In a statement in July, Mmakau and Shaft Sinkers said they expected to produce at least 22 000 ounces of gold per year within three years.
