Pharmaceutical: GlaxoSmithKline to build R&D plant in Singapore

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), is to build a new research and development (R&D) plant in Singapore. Due to begin operation late 2007, the $68 million plant will develop techniques for drug production and produce drugs for clinical trials.

The new facility will add to the $589 million the company already has invested in Singapore.
