Small Business: Detroit Mayor announces casino funded small business aid

Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, has announced that the Detroit City Council will shortly review a plan to spend $42.5 million to aid Detroit-based and Detroit-headquartered small businesses.

A statement said that the money has been received under agreement with three casinos and distribution will be handled by six non-profit economic development agencies.
