Tenders: Ugandan Electoral Commission ballot paper farce

The Ugandan Electoral Commission lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in the printing of ballot papers for the recent referendum, by awarding the tender to a company that did not meet key criteria to qualify for the tender.

New Vision reports that South African firm Ren Form CC beat 10 other contenders for the contract, despite the fact that they are not certified security printers, a key requirement for the job.
