Women's Issues: Call for women's health rights in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP), has urged the government to ensure health rights of women. At a press conference, leaders also advocated:

* free treatment for repressed women
* separate hospitals for acid survivors
* forensic department in every district hospitals

The press conference was held to mark the International Fortnight Protesting Violence Against Women 2005. The slogan for the campaign is, "Violence-free women's health rights are the precondition to women's human rights".
