Women's Issues: Chauvinist Koran

Recently I reported that Islamic feminist activists meeting in Barcelona, had called for a "gender jihad".

The conference is now over, and the final statement of the conference denounced "male chauvinist" interpretations of the Koran, and called for a more open interpretation to take into account the context of 21st century societies.
