Women's Issues: Violence against women on increase in Nepal

According to a report released by the Forum for Women, Law and Development (FWLD), one of the multitude of NGOs in Nepal, crime against women in Nepal, particularly domestic violence, increased to 922 in 2003-2004 from a total of 569 reported cases of domestic violence in the previous period. Trafficking and child marriage also increased.

Nepal has an ongoing campaign called, "Ensure zero tolerance for violence against women".
