Women's Issues: Women in Qatar want land and loans

Women in Qatar are demanding that the government allot plots of land and permit them to procure loans from local banks to build houses or engage in business.

MENAFN.com reports that the Al Sharq daily, writes that although the state provides accommodation and allowances to those who were divorced or had lost husbands, many were unable to remarry. If the women's demands were met, it would help those who were unable to sustain themselves.
