Engineering: Female elected to Saudi Engineers Council

The Sydney Morning Herald, reports that, "a Saudi woman has won in the first-ever elections to a national body grouping Saudi engineers, in the latest gain for women striving to find a place in public life in the conservative kingdom. Nadia Bakhurji said she had been elected among 71 candidates for the 10-person board of the Saudi Engineers Council in a vote which took place earlier this week".
