Human Resources: Saudi Arabia says ban on overseas over 60s, will not affect professionals

My apology for publishing another Human Resources article but I thought this may be of interest to a few people I know read the blog.

A new law which bans recruitment of expatriate workers above the age of 60, will not be applied to professionals. This means that doctors, academics, consultants and engineers will not be affected.

The Labour Ministry imposed the recruitment ban on unskilled foreign workers to create more job opportunities for Saudis. The new legislation also states that at least 75% of employees in a private company must be Saudi.
