Industrial Relations: South Korean government steps in to end pilots strike

For the second time this year, (previous post), the South Korean government has enacted emergency powers to end a four-day walkout by pilots at Korean Air.

Labor Minister Kim Dae Hwan announced the implantation after last minute negotiations between management and the pilots' union failed to reach an agreement.

Any collective action taken by pilots for the next month is banned, while any opposition to going back to work is punishable under criminal law.
