International Development: Ugandan president tells people to improve their incomes to avoid poverty

In a state press release, Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni, has appealed to Ugandans to end the culture of only talking and start serious work of eradicating poverty through modern agriculture.

In Uganda, about 37 percent of the population live below the poverty line of one US dollar per day a stipulated by the United Nations organization.
He also pointed out that it is important that each family endeavours to improve its income.

Maybe the people of Africa should follow the examples set by their leaders who are well known for doing anything they can to improve their families incomes. Isn't it odd that it is always the people who have to stop taking?
