International Development: UN gives Zambia $17.9 million on food aid

The United Nations World Food Program, is to give $17.9 million to Zambia to feed starving refugees.

In a country that its self faces food shortages, around 80 000 refugees will be fed in 2006 and a further 67 000 refugees in 2007 - mostly from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
