International Relations: Afghanistan and Iran sign cooperation agreements

Iranian media reports that Iran's South Khorasan Province and Afghanistan's border Forah Province, have signed economic, social, agricultural, academic and cultural cooperation agreements.

Governor General of South Khorasan province Seyyed Soulat Mortazavi, said, "I hope Iran, and particularly South Khorasan Province would be able to play a decisive role in reconstruction of Afghanistan."

The South Khorasan Province has 420 kilometres of shared borders with Afghanistan's Forah, Herat and Nimroze provinces.
