Medical: Voluntary euthanasia now legal in Israel

The Israeli parliament has voted to legalise euthanasia for terminally-ill patients. The law applies to those who had stated their wishes while in possession of their mental faculties.

However, if a doctor decides survival is possible, euthanasia will not be permitted.
