Motoring: India to produce fuel efficient cars to Euro standards

India has announced that its first wave of fuel efficient cars will begin production before the start of next year.

Tata Motors. will produce the vehicles which will have petrol engines that comply to Euro IV standards on emissions controls. This is a first for India and means the company will be able to supply local cars as well as sell engines on the international market to a widely recognized standard.
