Art: China and Italy to fight theft and smuggling of cultural relics

China and Italy, have signed an agreement that will see the cultural heritage departments of both countries, establish organisations to combat the theft and smuggling of cultural relics.

Under the agreement, China and Italy will also push forward the application of the European Galileo satellite navigation system to aid the prevention of theft and smuggling of cultural relics. The two countries will also share information on stolen artefacts.
