Aviation: Call for Nigeria to appoint retired pilots as inspectors

Aviation experts in Nigeria, have called on the country's Federal government to appoint retired pilots as inspectors to work in collaboration with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

A source close to the Presidential Task Force on the Aviation Industry, has indicated that the United States, was cited as an example of experienced and retired pilots forming the bulk of inspectors used by the Federal Aviation and Administration (FAA).

NCAA inspectors were also criticised as lacking in knowledge and unable to effectively oversee, aircraft flying in Nigerian skies.
