Defense: Serbia-Montenegro rejects contract on Israeli military satellite

Serbia-Montenegro, has rejected a $54 million contract on the lease of an Israeli military satellite, claiming it was not legally valid or financially binding.

Serbia-Montenegro's Council of Ministers said in a statement: "It has never reviewed a contract on the right of use of the satellite or given its agreement to such a contract."

However, China View reports that, a local radio station has claimed, "the Defense Ministry would not be able to back out the lease contract and the ministry would suggest buying various military equipment from the Israeli company instead of renting the satellite."
