Defense: Vietnam to build new military port

Defense Industry Daily, carries an AFP report that Vietnam is to build a new military port capable of receiving 40,000 ton warships, in the north-eastern city of Haiphong. Work on the $500 million project will commence in 2007 and will cover about 3,000 hectares (7,410 acres).
