Economy: Most Vietnamese say living standards have improved

A survey conducted by Vietnam's General Statistics Office, shows that 84% of Vietnamese households said that their living conditions continued to improve in 2004. Only 4.8% felt standards had declined.

The survey involved 45,900 households in 3,063 towns, wards and communes throughout the country with face-to-face interviews of heads-of-household and key officials.
