Education: Pupils raise money to buy donkeys and a calf for needy community

I like to support kids in their enterprises and though this story may not be exactly earth shattering, it's a lot nicer than many I have read today.

The Edgeware and Mill Hill Times (UK), reports that students at Garston Manor School in High Elms Lane, Garston, raised enough money to buy two donkeys and a calf for a needy community in Africa, Asia or Central America.

They did so by packing customers' shopping at Asda supermarket in north Watford before Christmas. The money has now been handed to the local OXFAM group.
