Energy: Rusal in $4 billion Siberian project

Engineering News, reports that Rusal and RAO UES have signed the basic conditions of partnership agreement relating to construction of an aluminium smelter and completion of the Boguchanskaya hydropower plant (HPP) in Siberia.

Rusal, is the world's third largest primary aluminium producer and investment in the project is estimated to be around $4 billion. The project is expected to take seven years to complete.
