Goodnight from Sydney

I come from a Welsh mining village, with a father who until his untimely death, was involved in the mining industry.

Anytime a mining disaster occurs anywhere in the world, my heart goes out to the miners and their loved ones.

I was about to write how relieved I was that 12 miners trapped in West Virginia had been bought out alive. Now I find out those reports wrong.

Only one was bought out alive.

How can anyone get it so wrong.
