Goodnight from Sydney

Tonight's photo makes me feel like I should be sitting here in a trench coat, holding a scotch on the rocks and listening to Marianne Faithfull songs!

Isn't it odd, I have had my camera, (Canon IXUS 400) for over two years, and apart from taking photos to show Mel and special friends, exploring photography never really interested me. Then all of a sudden, I get these weird and whacky ideas - as with the "water" series. I was enjoying that but Mel did have a very good point when she told me there is only so many shots of my kitchen sink I can take.

Tonight I even went a bit avante-garden! Mel bought me a pen that lights up with a blue light, so I thought, Aha! I can turn off all the lights and use the blue light to light up smoke and water. The idea was good but apart from puzzling the hell out of the woman across the road, who must be wondering why about 60 flashes went off, the results left a lot to be desired.

The blog wont be published tomorrow, but I will be back on Monday with, "Country Focus."

Wherever you may be - be safe!
