A Kenyan government minister has told Roads ministry officers that if they do not meet their targets or endorse badly made roads, they will be sacked.
The minister Mr Simeon Nyachae, said that repairing roads cost the country Sh140 billion annually, (1 USD = 72.2500 KES) and made it clear that corruption and general laxity would no longer be tolerated.
The Daily Nation, quotes the minister as saying, "Those who perform poorly will be sacked. You should therefore not pass the buck as the buck stops with you."
