International Development: Ghana gets 50,000 condoms from Thailand

U.N. officials have said that Thailand has donated 50,000 condoms to Ghana and six other African countries as part of the kingdom's "forward engagement" policy with Africa in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Joana Merlin-Scholtes, UN resident coordinator and UNDP representative for Thailand, said: "This shipment is an expression of Thailand's interest in working with Africa to halt this killer in its tracks."
