International Development: Kenya to waive tax on food aid

Kenya is to waive import duty on relief food in a effort to bring food relief to nearly two and a half million people. Government spokesman Alfred Mutua, said: "The government has waived taxes on relief food because the food did not come for sale but to be distributed to people."

The waiver however, does not include medical supplies.
