International Development: Most Afghans want government to have control over international aid

A survey by Pajhwok Afghan News, reveals that Afghans, want the government to have direct control over international aid, believing they could spend the money more effectively than NGOs.

It is expected the Afghan government will call for greater control over international aid, at the London Conference on Afghanistan, commencing January 31. At that meeting, Afghanistan will also present a five-year development plan called, "Afghanistan Compact."
