Media: Journalist arrested for insulting Sudan's president

Sudanese authorities have arrested a journalist for insulting the country's president. Zuhair al-Sarraj, had written a column for the al-Sahafa daily, complaining that President Omar al-Beshir, is deaf to the concerns of the population.

According to AFP, his wife said that security officials had phoned him and told him to report to their offices - even if he was out of the country.
