Oil: 12 suspected oil thieves killed by Nigerian troops

Nigerian troops have killed 12 men suspected of stealing oil from a crude oil pipeline in the southern state of Delta. According to officials a patrol spotted a group of 20 suspected thieves. During the ensuing gun fight, 12 suspected thieves were killed and three injured - the remaining five were arrested.

The pipeline is owned by the Pan Ocean Oil Corporation.
