An article in iafrica.com (love and sex) written by Deborah Haynes and titled, Sex-starved Iraqis bemoan power cuts, describes how Iraqi's have more than the obvious problems to contend with. Lack of electrical power means that many Iraqi's are not getting enough sex. No electricity means no hot water - and no hot showers.The author quotes one recently married Iraqi who said, "Unfortunately, the electricity cut out from 5 pm until 11 pm. There was nothing for us to do other than sit and look at each other. I did not get married just to have conversation."
An excellent article also describes how hotels are able to cash in on the situation.
