Trade: Taiwan is Vietnam's biggest foreign investor

Taiwan has been proclaimed as the largest foreign investor in Vietnam, implementing over 1,408 investment projects worth $7.93 billion, by the end of last year.

However, the real figure could be much higher, as the figures released by the Vietnamese Department of Planning and Investment (DPI), do not include investments which many Taiwanese manufacturers implemented under the name of their holding companies set up in a third country.
