Women's Issues: China seeks to ensure protection of women and children

China has announced that it intends to increase efforts to protect the legal rights and interests of women and children. The announcement was made following a meeting in Beijing, where it was noted that the government has considered putting a greater emphasis on safeguarding women's legitimate rights at a grassroots level, especially in rural areas.

It was also noted that China is actively protecting and supporting the country's vagrant children.
