Agriculture: Mexico agrees to allow bone-in beef imports from young Canadian cattle

Mexico has moves a step closer to resuming meat importation from Canada, by agreeing to accept bone-in cuts of young Canadian beef. Currently Mexico only permits importation of boneless beef from animals under thirty months of age, regarded as being of lower risk of developing mad cow disease.

The move is predicted to be worth an additional $20 - $30 million of beef shipments to Mexico.
