Cambodian entrepreneurs to get help from India

A Cambodia-India Entrepreneurship Development Centre (CIEDC)has been launched to train entrepreneurs and prepare small enterprises face the challenge of globalisation.

The project is part of India's support to the Initiative for the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Integration (IAI). India has already launched Entrepreneurship Development Centres (EDCs) in Laos and Vietnam, and an EDC in Myanmar will be set up soon.

Pich Sophoan, secretary of state of the ministry of labour and vocational training, said the centre will train and develop the next generation of Cambodian entrepreneurs and increase the number of small and medium enterprises (SME). It will create more jobs and opportunities.
