Defense: Israel and India sign agreement for anti-missile system

India and Israel have signed their biggest defense development agreement for the joint manufacture of the ship-borne Israeli Barak II anti-missile system. The system will be used for both the Indian and Israeli navies.

According to sources within India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the five-year, $350 million project will be a joint venture between the government-owned Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) and Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI).
