Entrepreneurship: Unemployed youth get chance to become entrepreneurs

India: Although this article is mainly of localised interest, I would like to see more such projects instead of the normal window-dressing programs so beloved by a succession of Australian governments.

The Business Information Centre of Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association, (you gotta love that name!) is organising an "entrepreneurship training program" for unemployed youth. The centre will provide information on financing, preparation of projects, details of list of machinery manufacturers, exports, etc.

The program will also give a brief outline of the potential opportunities available in Madurai, self-employment, loan schemes, machinery details, investment, marketing and export procedures.
