China has moved to ban discrimination against AIDS sufferers.Under new policy guidelines, no organization or individual is allowed to discriminate against AIDS patients or their families and AIDS patients will be entitled to free treatment. In addition, regional authorities will be required to provide free testing and treatment.
Xinhua news agency, quotes AIDS activist Hu Jia, as saying: "The problem in China is not the lack of laws but whether these laws will be implemented by local governments."
