Industrial Relations: Air Sahara pilots take mass leave

Air Sahara pilots in India have gone on "mass leave," a move that has disrupted flight and left passengers stranded. Local sources report that at least 20 pilots went on sick leave in New Delhi. More than 10 flights have been cancelled in Delhi and four in Mumbai.

It appears the protest follows the purchase of Air Sahara by Jet Airways for $500 million. The new owners refused to pay Air Sahara pilots, the same perks as its own staff enjoyed.
