Oil and Gas: Myanmar announces gas pipeline projects

Myanmar's Flower News, reports that Myanmar will implement new natural gas pipeline projects for extensive distribution of gas in the country. Priority will be given to the laying of a 160-kilometre gas pipeline from Nyaungdon to Thabaung in southwestern Ayeyawaddy division, and a 192-kilometre one from southeastern Mon State's Myaingkalay to Yangon.

The state- run Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise, said that two other planned pipelines are a 308 kilometre pipeline from Magway in central part of the country to Taunggyi in northeastern Shan state and a 168-kilometre pipeline from Migyaungye to Pyinmana in the central part of the country.
