Online Gaming: Vietnam seeks to introduce time-limit on gamers

Vietnam, is soon to introduce a draft regulation aimed at deterring people from spending more than 3 consecutive hours on online gaming.

Aimed at players of games such as MU and Swordman, the proposed system would impose penalties on players who spend more than three hours playing a game by halving, or even reducing by three times, the gained points of their virtual characters.

Do Quy Doan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information, said the regulation had been formulated based on online gamers' opinions and suggestions, but more opinions, especially those of experts', were needed to complete the draft.

It is predicted that gamers will change identities to play different characters when time limits are up!
